Georgia records 17,066 Covid cases, active cases reaching 125,410

Georgia has reported 17,066 new Covid cases of more than 64,000 tests, 5,397 recoveries, and 30 deaths in the past 24 hours. 

125,410 remain infected with coronavirus in Georgia as of now.

1,607 cases of the Omicron strain have been officially confirmed so far. 

The new cases for Tbilisi and regions are as follows:
Tbilisi – 9,256 cases 
Adjara – 1,523 cases 
Imereti – 2,219 cases 
Kvemo Kartli – 780 cases 
Shida Kartli – 775 cases 
Guria – 240 cases 
Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti – 865 cases 
Kakheti – 683 cases 
Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 289 cases 
Samtskhe-Javakheti – 388 cases 
Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 48 cases

1,216,849 people have been fully vaccinated in the country since March 2021.
