Georgia records 18,264 new cases of Covid of 50,058 tests

Georgia has reported 18,264 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours. 

 

50,058 tests were conducted across the country in the reported period, including 31,794 rapid tests and 18,264 PCR tests.

 

The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country in February 2020 stands at 1,496,156.

 

The daily positivity rate as of yesterday is 30.59%, for the last 14 days – 32.02% and for seven days – 31.51%.

 

10,894 people recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, while the total number of people recovered increased to 1,300,062.

 

55  individuals died of Covid in the past 24 hours.

 

The pandemic has claimed 15,683 lives in Georgia since April 2020. 

 

The new cases for Tbilisi and regions are as follows: 

Tbilisi – 7 055 cases, 

Adjara – 960,

Imereti – 2 233,

Kvemo Kartli – 907,

Shida Kartli – 834,

Guria – 470, 

Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 1 131, 

Kakheti – 1 118 , 

Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 286,

Samtskhe-Javakheti – 235,

Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 86.

 

180 385 individuals remain infected with coronavirus as of now of which 5,974 are placed in hospitals. 

1,309 individuals are critical.
