Georgia reports 138,331 possible cases of Covid reinfection in 16 months

Georgia recorded 138,331 possible cases of coronavirus reinfection between February 26, 2020 to July 1, 2022, the National Center for Disease Control of Georgia said on Monday.

 

The agency said that between March 15, 2021 to July 1, 2022, hospitalisation was required in 16,868 cases among those reinfected, while 102 of them died from the virus. 

 

NCDC said that the average age of the deceased was 69 years, while the minimum age was 18 years, and the maximum age was 89.

 

Georgia has confirmed 1,698,020 cases of coronavirus since February 26,2020. 

 

The virus has claimed more than 16,800 lives so far.
