Georgia reports 2,176 new cases of Covid, 26,693 remain infected

Georgia has reported 2,176 new cases of coronavirus out of 35,400 tests, 2,838 recoveries and 43 deaths in the past 24 hours. 

 

26,693 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia as of today.

 

The country has had 589,727 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020 of which 554,617  patients have recovered and 8,390 have died from the virus.

 

Most of the new cases were recorded in the capital Tbilisi – 756, Adjara – 134 and Imereti regions – 357.

 

More than 19,000 individuals are undergoing treatment at home, while others, more than 5,000 are in hospital or in Covid hotels. 

 

1,589,024 individuals have received at least one dose of the vaccine in the country so far, of which  660,832 have been fully inoculated since March 2021.
