Georgia reports 2 228 new cases of Covid, 1,711 recovered

Georgia has reported 2,228 new cases of coronavirus  in the past 24 hours, while 1,711 individuals have recovered from the virus in the reported period. 

 

31,828 Covid tests were conducted in the past 24 hours, including 18, 619 antigen tests and 13,209 PCR tests, the government of Georgia reports.

 

The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid pandemic in Georgia in February 2020  stands at 626, 058.

 

As for the positive rate, as of October 6- the daily positive rate is 7.0%, for the last 14 days-5.63%, while for the last 7 days 5.61%. 

 

The total number of recovered since March 2020 stands at  596, 380.

 

28 individuals died from the coronavirus in the last 24 hours. A total of

9,162 people have died from the virus since April 2020.

 

Out of 2,228 new cases of Covid, 628 were detected in Tbilisi.

 20, 490 individuals remain infected with Covid in Georgia as of today. 

 At this stage 16, 085 people are self-isolating.
