Georgia reports 2,800 new cases of Covid, 882 only in Tbilisi

Georgia has reported 2,800 new Covid cases in the country in the past 24 hours, out of which 882 were recorded in the capital Tbilisi, the government of Georgia says.

 

New cases in other regions are as follows:

 

·         Imereti – 572 cases

·         Kakheti – 409 cases

·         Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti – 260 cases 

·         Kvemo Kartli – 174 cases 

·         Shida Kartli – 153 cases 

·         Adjara – 103 cases 

·         Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 77 cases

·         Samtskhe-Javakheti – 66 cases

·         Guria – 60 cases 

·         Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 44 cases

 

Active cases stand at 19,131, of which  4,025 individuals  are being treated in hospitals – 1,406, in Tbilisi, 351 in Adjara and 897 in Imereti regions.

 

The health condition of 947 patients is serious, of which 260 are on artificial ventilation.

 

Currently, 597 individuals are in Covid hotels, including 293 in Tbilisi and 166 in Adjara.

 

14,509 people are receiving treatment  at home.

 

15,084 people remain in self-isolation.
