Georgia reports 22,444 new cases of Covid, 53 deaths

Georgia has reported 22,444 new cases of coronavirus and 53 deaths in the past 24 hours.

 

68,392 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 42,943 rapid tests and 25,449 PCR tests.

 

The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country to date is 1,398,059.

 

The daily positivity rate as of yesterday is 32.82%, for the last 14 days – 29.93% and for seven days – 32.84%.

 

In the last 24 hours 13,245 people recovered from the virus, and the total number of people recovered increased to 1,154,476.

 

A total of 15,404 people have died from the virus since April 2020.

 

New cases for Tbilisi and regions are as follows: 

 

Tbilisi – 10 931 cases, 

 

Adjara – 1 876,

 

Imereti – 3 281, 

 

Kvemo Kartli – 1 193, 

 

Shida Kartli – 1 062,

 

Guria – 616, 

 

Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 1 496,

 

Kakheti – 1 101, 

 

Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 450, 

 

Samtskhe-Javakheti – 359,

 

Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 79.

 

Active cases stand at 228, 153 out of which 6 085 people are placed in hospitals.
