Georgia reports 6,024 new cases of Covid, active cases stand at 49,114

Georgia has reported 6,024 new cases of coronavirus of 58,291 tests, 3,818 recoveries and 49 deaths in the past 24 hours, while 49,114 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia as of today.

The country has confirmed 732,965 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020, of which 673,640 individuals have recovered and 10,185 have died from the virus.

The new cases for Tbilisi and regions are as follows: 

Tbilisi – 2,237 cases 

Adjara – 229 cases 

Imereti – 1,148 cases 

Kvemo Kartli – 417 cases 

Shida Kartli – 508 cases 

Guria – 183 cases 

Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti – 401 cases 

Kakheti – 553 cases 

Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 124 cases 

Samtskhe-Javakheti – 163 cases 

Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 61 cases

6,546 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today, while 41,477 others remain at home due to a mild form of the virus. 

36,770 individuals are in self-isolation.

1,040,022 individuals have received at least one dose of the vaccine in the country since March 2021, while 944,520 people have been completely vaccinated.
