Georgia requests extradition of ex-official Adeishvili from Netherlands

The Georgian Prosecutor’s Office has formally requested the Netherlands to arrest and extradite Zurab Adeishvili, the former Prosecutor General of Georgia currently serving in Ukraine. 

This appeal is grounded on publicly available information, the body said. 

The Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia, mandated to uphold justice within its jurisdiction, is actively pursuing individuals alleged to have committed crimes in Georgia, irrespective of their current whereabouts, it added for press. 

According to the Prosecutor’s Office,  Adeishvili faces accusations including torture of prisoners, involvement in the murder of Buta Robakidze, assault on Koba Davitashvili, and other criminal charges.
