Georgia’s Ambassador to Israel, Lasha Zhvania, on Friday rejected reports on his leaving the country amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas as “fake”.

“We have no reason to leave the country. We are here and it will not be otherwise. All employees of the Embassy have been working round the clock over the past seven days [since the Hamas attack on Israel]”, said the Ambassador in his social media post.

He noted Georgia’s foreign office was working with Georgian airways to ensure additional commercial flights between the states.

The diplomat once again posted the hotlines operated by the Embassy: +972 526 919092; +972 528 888513; +972 547 386813; +972 526 494293.
