Georgia’s former Defence Minister Tina Khidasheli says that only defensive weapons will not be sufficient for Ukraine to defeat a “monster” like Russia, noting that the West should supply Kyiv with other weapons as well and ensure assistance in military operations.

“When the German chancellor says that they will not allow Russia to win in Ukraine, this will not happen without supplying weapons and aiding in military operations. Physically, Ukraine’s human resources will not be enough to cope with a monster like Russia,” Khidasheli said.

She stated that back in 2008 when Russia invaded Georgia, the latter would not be able to “resolve the problem’ for the world as well through only its own resources.

Khidasheli claims that it is an “illusion” that only defensive weapons could lead Ukraine to victory.
