Aleksi Petriashvili, Georgia’s former Minister for Euro-Atlantic Integration, on Monday announced his alliance with the political parties Droa and Girchi – More Freedom, declaring his commitment to continue the fight alongside them in the October general elections.

In preparation for the upcoming October 26 elections, Petriashvili emphasised the importance of unity in striving for Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

Expressing his dedication to the Georgian cause, Petriashvili stressed the need for a change in government through democratic means, advocating for swift reforms to steer the country back on the path of European integration.

“I am proud to join forces with the Droa team, alongside friends and supporters who hold a special place in my heart. Together with Droa and Girchi – More Freedom, we will persevere in this struggle,” Petriashvili noted. 

He extended a call to action, urging active citizens to join the fight for a “common goal” and expressed optimism in forming a “powerful coalition” that would play a “pivotal role” in achieving victory.
