Georgia’s external trade in January-September hits $13billion – Geostat

External Merchandise Trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 13 612.0 million in January-September 2022, 35.3 percent higher year-on-year, the National Statistics Office of Georgia said on thursday. 

The agency said that the value of export increased by 37.4 percent reaching USD 4 097.0 million, while the import increased by 34.4 percent and amounted to USD 9 515.0 million. 

It also stated that the trade deficit equaled USD 5 418.0 million and its share in trade turnover constituted 39.8 percent.
