Some students at Georgia’s Theater and Film University on Monday claimed their student status had been revoked due to their participation in ongoing protests against the Government’s decision last year to halt EU integration until 2028.

One of the affected students shared the news on social media, alleging that the university administration had sent emails informing them of their expulsion.

“Today, some of the students who were protesting received an email from the university administration, informing them that their student status was revoked,” the student wrote.

The reason for the alleged expulsion has not yet been officially confirmed by the university.
