Georgia is expected to receive up to 50,000 doses of the German-US Pfizer coronavirus vaccine for children between 5-12 in the second quarter of this year, head of the country’s National Centre for Disease Control Amiran Gamkrelidze stated earlier today.

He said that the risk group will get the shot at the initial stage.  Gamkrelidze also responded to the removal of various restrictions related to the virus and said that if 80 percent of the countrys adult population had been fully vaccinated, the obligation of wearing face masks would have also been lifted.

As of now a bit more than 40 percent of the country’s adult population are fully vaccinated.
