The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia has welcomed the completion of negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan on a peace agreement.

“Georgia welcomes the conclusion of negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan on all 17 articles of the Peace Agreement,” the ministry wrote on X.

Describing the agreement as a “historic step toward lasting peace and stability in the region,” the Georgian government reaffirmed its support for peaceful resolution efforts in the South Caucasus.

Earlier today, former President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili, also welcomed the conclusion of peace negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, calling the agreement a “decisive step towards long-term stability” in the South Caucasus.

In a statement on social media, Zourabichvili hailed the draft peace treaty as a historic breakthrough.

“I welcome the announcement of the conclusion of negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The agreement on the draft peace treaty is a decisive step towards long-term stability in the Caucasus region. This historic achievement brings new opportunities for peace and cooperation,” she wrote.
