Georgia’s Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, and his Armenian counterpart, Nikol Pashinian, on Monday jointly unveiled the new Georgian Embassy building in the Republic of Armenia.
The ceremony was hosted by Giorgi Sharvashidze, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Armenia, the Government press office said.
This event marked the culmination of efforts as the Georgian government purchased the building last year, establishing its first-ever embassy in the country that is under its possession. Situated in the central district alongside other diplomatic missions, the embassy boasts facilities including citizens’ reception areas, offices, and conference spaces.
Noteworthy is the incorporation of ethnic and cultural motifs in the building’s design, reflecting the deep ties between the two nations, the press office added.
