The Georgian delegation which will be chaired by Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili will leave for Brussels tomorrow to attend the EU’s Eastern Partnership Summit on December 15.
Georgian FM David Zalkaliani has stated that ‘it is a very important summit which will specify future prospects of EaP.’
“Georgia has shown very serious progress since joining the format 12 years ago. We expect to also use the summit very effectively,” Zalkaliani said.
The EU’s Eastern Partnership initiative was created in 2009 and unites six Eastern European countries – Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine – in support of democracy, prosperity and stability in the region.
