Georgian Dream seeks to amend governance structure for future realities

Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia on Tuesday stressed the necessity of amending the Constitution to align Georgia’s governance system and territorial state arrangement with potential future realities.

The ruling party argued that securing a constitutional majority in the upcoming elections was crucial to ensure these changes can be implemented if Georgia’s territorial integrity was restored.

The party highlighted that the dynamic regional developments require Georgia to be prepared to adapt its governance structure. Georgian Dream warned that opposition forces may obstruct these necessary amendments, underscoring the importance of a constitutional majority to safeguard the country’s strategic interests.

In addition to constitutional changes, the party reiterated the importance of maintaining peace during the elections, emphasizing the immediate threat of war and the need for national stability.
