Georgian fighter Rati Burduli has released a letter alleging that the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) is revoking weapons possession permits for Georgian citizens fighting in Ukraine, based on convictions handed down by Russian courts.

The letter, which Burduli published on social media, cited Article 27, Part d(5) of Georgia's Law On Weapons, which allows for the revocation of a weapons license if a court conviction against the license holder has entered into force. The document specifically refers to a conviction under Article 359-3 of the Russian Criminal Code, which is often used by Russian authorities against foreign fighters in Ukraine.

The MIA has not yet responded.
