The meeting also focused on the political dialogue between Georgia and France, the dynamics of high-level bilateral visits and the future agenda.
The importance of the Georgian-French dialogue named after Dimitri Amilakhvari was emphasized, which includes a wide range of political, defense, security, trade-economic, cultural and educational relations and reflects the close ties between the two countries.
The sides confirmed their readiness to hold the second round of the dialogue in the near future.
Darchiashvili thanked the ambassador for France’s support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia, as well as the non-recognition policy, and briefed the diplomat about the steps being taken by Georgia to meet the 12-point conditions set by the European Union for the country’s membership candidate status.
