Georgian FM to attend NATO Foreign Ministerial in Riga

Vice-PM and Foreign Minister of Georgia Davit Zalkaliani, as well as members of the Georgian delegation, will take part in the meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the NATO member states scheduled for November 30-December 1 at the invitation of NATO. 

During the event Zalkaliani will take part in a session of the North Atlantic Council together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, where he will address his counterparts. 

“One of the key issues on the agenda of the ongoing NATO Ministerial in Riga is the security environment in the Black Sea region and recent developments,” Zalkaliani says. 

The ministerial participants will also discuss the steps taken by Georgia and Ukraine on the path to membership in the alliance.

At the ministerial, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Lasha Darsalia, will also take part in the event – NATO Vision for 2030 Strategy which will be opened by the Secretary General of the Alliance Jens Stoltenberg.
