The Georgian government members have refused to attend an international conference in Tbilisi titled Russia’s aggression in Ukraine: a year of resistance on Thursday, that was organized by the Eastern European Centre for Multiparty Democracy, the chair of the NGO Levan Tsutskiridze said.

He stressed that government representatives from different branches had been invited to attend the event. However, “none of them” appeared.

“We have a moral obligation towards Ukraine. If the government does not feel it, the civil sector does, which is distinguished by its independence, professionalism, including its transparency in this country and elsewhere”, Tsutskiridze said.
