The Georgian government says it had backed more than 500 resolutions in support of Ukraine since the launch of Russia’s full-scale invasion against the country last year, adding it had also ensured more than 14 million in budgetary aid to more than 26,000 Ukrainian citizens stranded in Georgia due to the war.
The government report on its work last year submitted to the parliament also said the country’s authorities had “resolutely continued to support Ukraine in political, diplomatic and humanitarian directions”, since the launch of hostilities in February 2023.
The report also pointed to “activated partnership” with Moldova.
The Georgian prime minister is scheduled to present the full report in the legislative body on June 30.
