Georgian National Bank chair ends his tenure

Koba Gvenetadze, the head of Georgia’s National Bank, on Wednesday said he had completed his seven-year-tenure. 

 

“Today is the last day of my 7-year Governorship at the National Bank of Georgia. Thank you all with whom I cooperated during this period full of challenges. Special thanks to the high professional team of the National Bank of Georgia for active and fruitful cooperation, for their continuous support! Good luck to everyone!” he said in his social media post. 

 

While in office, Gvenetadze was awarded the title of the best banker by Global Finance, a leading monthly financial magazine, five times.
