Georgian officials offer condolences over deadly Ukraine helicopter crash

The Georgian president and parliament speaker on Wednesday expressed their deep sorrow over the recent deadly helicopter crash in the city of Brovary, near Kyiv, killing 18, including the country’s officials and children. 

“Deeply saddened by the tragic helicopter accident in Brovary. I express my deepest condolences to the families of the victims, the people of Ukraine and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy”, president Salome Zourabichvili tweeted. 

Calling the crash a “heartbreaking tragedy”, parliament speaker Shalva Papuashvili had sent “special prayers for kids and all injured. I wish them a speedy recovery”. 

Ukrainian Interior Minister Denys Monastyrsky, his deputy Yevhen Yenin, state secretary Yurii Lubkovich are among the victims, after the helicopter went down near a nursery.
