The first session of the 11th convocation of the Georgian Parliament approved its Vice-Speakers on Monday. The ruling majority will be represented by two of the three Vice-Speakers, with the First Vice-Speaker and one additional seat allocated to the majority.

Speaker of Parliament Shalva Papuashvili nominated Gia Volski for the position of First Vice-Speaker, and he was unanimously approved with 88 votes.

Tea Tsulukiani and Nino Tsilosani were also elected as Vice-Speakers under the majority quota.

One seat in the Speakership remains vacant within the majority quota.

Opposition boycotted the session due to “rigged elections” last month.
