Georgian parliament speaker visits Spain, Portugal

The Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, together with the delegation, will visit Spain and Portugal between November  21-26.

 

During the official visit, he will meet the Speaker of the Senate of the Kingdom of Spain, the President of the Congress of Deputies of the Kingdom of Spain and the President of the National Assembly of Portugal, the parliament press office said on Monday. 

 

Meetings will also be held with the chairmen of the foreign affairs committees of the Spanish Senate and Chamber of Deputies. A meeting of Shalva Papuashvili with the chairman of the committees of the Portuguese National Assembly and the executive secretary of the Commonwealth of Portuguese-speaking countries is also planned.

 

Papuashvili will take part in an event held at the Autonomous University of Lisbon, where he will meet foreign policy experts and students of the Faculty of International Relations.

 

Within the framework of the visit, a meeting with the representatives of the Georgian diaspora in Spain and Portugal is planned.

 

Along with S Papuashvili, the Georgian parliamentary delegation includes Levan Ioseliani, Davit Songulashvili, Beka Odisharia, Levan Karumidze, Irma Zavradashvili and Levan Makhashvili.
