Georgian Patriarch Ilia II has responded to current developments in Ukraine, stating that  “ the hostilities in Ukraine must be stopped as soon as possible. Otherwise, it will develop into a world tragedy!”

Russia attacked Ukraine late yesterday. 

The international community says that the response will be decisive.
