Georgian PM condemns attack on Slovak counterpart

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has issued condemnation of the recent attack targeting Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico. The attack, described as brutal and reckless by Kobakhidze, occurred following a government meeting in Handlova on Wednesday. 

The Georgian PM also expressed solidarity with Fico and the people of Slovakia during this “challenging period”. 

According to updates from official sources, Fico sustained multiple gunshot wounds, including injuries to his stomach, arm, and leg, resulting in a critical medical condition. Authorities have apprehended the suspected assailant, and investigations into the incident are underway.
