Georgian PM congratulates beginning of Passover holiday to Jewish community

Georgian prime minister Irakli Garibashvili on Wednesday sent kind wishes to the Jewsih community on the beginning of the Passover holiday, a major holiday for the Jewish people commemorating their liberation exodus from ancient Egypt.

“I wholeheartedly wish a happy beginning of the holiday to our Jewish compatriots and the Jews who have returned to their historic homeland of Israel. This glorious celebration of the physical and spiritual liberation of the Jews is important to any freedom-loving nation, including us Georgians, who enjoy millennia-old brotherhood and friendship with Jews”, Garibashvili said. 

The PM wished “ peace, prosperity, and progress” to the Jewish community.
