Georgian PM “deeply saddened” by attack on Japan’s ex-PM Shinzo Abe

Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili said on Friday that he was “deeply saddened to hear news about the attack” on Japanese former PM Shinzo Abe, who is now in critical condition.

 

“ Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. Georgia stands with the people of Japan,” Garibashvili tweeted.

 

Shinzo Abe was shot on Friday while campaigning in the city of Nara.

 

The 67-year-old is in critical condition.
