Georgian PM discusses ties, prospects for further cooperation with UAE officials

Georgian prime minister Irakli Garibashvili, who is on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates accompanied with delegation members, has met with the UAE president and the minister of tolerance and coexistence in Abu Dhabi. 

Praising existing partnership, the officials discussed ways to further upgrade trade and economic cooperation and encourage investments, the government administration said. 

The press office stated that Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the minister of tolerance and coexistence of the United Arab Emirates, had invested 150 million USD in Georgia. 

Garibashvili tweeted that he had discussed  the ongoing bilateral and future cooperation between the two countries, as well as “enhancing trade and investment flows between Georgia and the UAE for the greater benefit of our nations” with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the United Arab Emirates. 

The Georgian delegation arrived in Abu Dhabi on Monday.
