Georgian PM honors fallen cadets during Georgia’s Soviet occupation

Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili has honored the merit of Georgian cadets who heroically died on this day back in 1921 during the country’s Soviet occupation.  

“The sacrifice of the cadets for freedom and independence has remained in our memory, the example of their heroism is a guide for our generations, – Gharibashvili said in a speech at the Parliament in memory of the cadets who died at Kojor-Tabakhmela.  

The PM, together with the president and the speaker of parliament, laid a wreath at the cadets’ memorial in the parliament yard and paid tribute to their memory.
