Georgian PM to feature at UN Climate Change Conference in Dubai

Georgia’s Prime Minister, Irakli Garibashvili, is set to attend the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) hosted in Dubai, as confirmed by the Government press office on Thursday. 

 

Ambassador Paata Kalandadze emphasized that the official is scheduled to engage in all format meetings during the conference, which he described as “unparalleled in scale.”

 

In addition to contributing to discussions on key climate issues, the PM will address world leaders at the event. The Government press office also announced his participation in celebrations commemorating the 52nd anniversary of the UAE’s founding.

 

COP28, running from November 30 to December 12, will convene delegates from more than 160 states, leaders from the business and finance sectors, and representatives from the civil sector.

 

The conference aims to address pressing climate challenges on a global scale, fostering collaboration and dialogue.
