Georgian PM to join world leaders at Ukraine recovery conference in Berlin

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, along with a delegation of Georgian officials, is set to participate in the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC2024) in Berlin. The high-level political event on Tuesday and Wednesday aims to mobilize international support for Ukraine’s recovery, reconstruction, reforms, and modernization efforts.The conference, hosted for the first time by a member state of the European Union, will address four thematic areas crucial to Ukraine’s future:

 

Economic Growth: Mobilizing the private sector to drive recovery and economic growth. Social Recovery: Enhancing human capital to secure Ukraine’s future. Regional Restoration: Focusing on the rehabilitation of municipalities and regions. EU Accession: Discussing reforms related to Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.

In addition to these core themes, the conference will cover a wide range of topics, including macroeconomic stability, sustainability, infrastructure, housing, energy, environmental protection, health care, and education.

Joining Prime Minister Kobakhidze in Berlin are Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and Head of Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani. Together, they will engage with heads of state and government, ministers, and representatives from international organizations, financial institutions, business, and civil society, the government press office said.
