Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Tuesday said he was worried by the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, wishing Ukraine the ending of the war “very soon”.

Presenting his annual report, Garibashvili expressed his support for Ukraine and its territorial integrity and praised his Government’s “wise” moves since the outbreak of the conflict in late February.

He claimed that his Government had ensured a 10 percent economic growth despite the challenges earlier sparked by the coronavirus pandemic and later by the war.

The head of the Georgian government said the Russia-Ukraine war had caused global challenges and noted his office was acting in line with the interests of the Georgian people first of all.
