Georgian police arrest 36 drug dealers, Russian, Ukrainian, Iranian citizens among them

The Georgian law enforcement have arrested 46 individuals, including 36 drug dealers in raids in Tbilisi and regions over the past several days, the Georgian Interior Ministry said on Tuesday. 

 

Citizens of Georgia, Ukraine, Russia, Egypt, Nigeria, Iran, Yemen and Jordan were among those arrested, the body said. 

 

Drug trafficking is punishable up to 20 years in prison in Georgia.
