Georgian president Salome Zurabishvili and her Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda have expressed support for Ukraine during the latter’s visit to Georgia.
Duda stated that current developments around Ukraine are important for Poland and Georgia, as well as for Europe and the world.
“I had a meeting with the President of the United States Joe Biden. I would like to share with you the information that we have about the topic.
“Georgia is our ally and friend. I am planning visits next week, as well as consultations in Brussels. The information provided by the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, is very important to me. I would like to thank you and provide you with new information in the near future,” said Duda.
Zurabishvili said there is no place for military aggression in the 21st century.
“We support all types of negotiations to ease tension. Aggression has no future, this military aggression belongs to the past. Those who do not understand this, those who are captured by old imperial intentions, do not understand what the world of the 21st century is like.
“I want to express my belief that Ukraine’s sovereignty will be protected. I hope that the talks, in which the Polish president is also involved, will be fruitful and Georgia’s interests will also be protected,” Zurabishvili said.
