Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, who has visited France and Brussels amid current hostilities in Ukraine, has described the regime of the Russian President Vladimir Putin as ‘dictatorial and totalitarian’ in her recent interview for France 24.

“We cannot let a totalitarian, dictatorial regime move forward without giving a due reaction,” Zurabishvili said.

In her previous interview for the same French channel Zurabishvili stated that “no one is adding to the escalation except Putin.”

Zurabishvili met with her French counterpart and  EU officials during her recent trip, where she reiterated Georgia’s ‘firm support’ for Ukraine and discussed Georgia’s prospects to become a member of the EU in an accelerated manner.
