The administration of the President of Georgia on Monday rejected allegations by the Government and the ruling party officials over “not congratulating” Ilham Aliyev on his recent win in Azerbaijani presidential elections.

Zourabichvili’s office said an official letter with congratulatory messages was sent to Baku on Friday, on the third day of the race.

Georgian Dream officials have accused Zourabichvili of alleged attempts to “damage” the country’s relations with Azerbaijan through her “inaction” to congratulate Aliyev on his victory in the February 7 elections.
