Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili is scheduled to remotely attend the second summit of the Crimea Platform, which was created by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, on Tuesday, the Presidential Administration said.

The format aims to improve the effectiveness of the international response to the ongoing Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.

Zourabichvili is set to address summit participants, world leaders and representatives of international organisations during the occasion.

Set up in August 2021 as an international consultation and coordination format to streamline Crimea-related issues, the platform ensures work for practical approaches to draw attention to the situation in Crimea and discuss the possibilities for returning the peninsula to Kyiv.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltengerg  and the Council of Europe Secretary General Marija Pejčinović Burić are also scheduled to participate in the summit.
