Georgian president Salome Zourabichvili on Monday addressed Ukrainians from Vilnius, telling them Georgia and Ukraine will be part of Europe “together” and highlighted the role of  Kyiv’s fight for the whole European future.

“Many people in Europe repeat that you are fighting for our future and our freedom, but we know from our experience that you are fighting for our freedom and the European future. I am confident that we will be together in Europe, and it will be thanks to the exceptionally brave struggle of you, your troops and your citizens, who are carrying out this outstanding resistance together”, Zourabishvili said at an event in Vilnius dedicated to the memory of victims  of Russia’s ongoing aggression in the country.

Standing along the chair of the Lithuanian parliament speaker, Zourabichvili said she had taken the opportunity to once again express the solidarity of the Georgian people to Ukrainians in their defence from the Russian aggression.
