Georgian rugby players defeated the Russian team 16-7.

They managed to open the score at the beginning of the second half. Vasil Lobzhanidze made a try, and Abzhandadze made the conversion.

It should be noted that this match is no longer important for the Georgian national team in terms of tournaments, because Georgian athletes won the title of European Rugby Champion one round earlier last year.

Fans were unable to attend the final match of the 2020 European Rugby Championship due to constraints caused by covidpandem.

Georgian rugby players faced Russia for the 24th time today.

The history of mutual meetings of these teams dates back to 1993 and in the first match the opponent won 15: 9. Since then, there has been a draw since 2002, with Georgia winning the other 21 cases – 18 of them in a row.
