Georgian ruling party delegation discusses ties, cooperation, in meetings with Chinese officials

The delegation from the ruling Georgian Dream party, led by Chairman Irakli Kobakhidze, on Wednesday engaged in a meeting with Ling Ji, the Deputy Minister of Trade and Commerce of China.
“We had a comprehensive discussion with Deputy Minister of Trade Ling Ji, addressing various aspects of trade and economic cooperation between China and Georgia. Our talks encompassed diverse sectors, including trade, energy, transport, and tourism. We delved into every facet of the economy, fostering a detailed and fruitful dialogue. I express my gratitude to Deputy Minister Ling Ji for this constructive engagement,” Kobakhidze said.
The GD delegation also held meetings with Minister Liu Jianchao, Head of the International Department of the Chinese ruling party, Deputy Minister Sun Haiyan, Zhang Laiming, Vice President of the Development Research Center of the State Council, and Xiao Jie, Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National People’s Congress of China.
The ruling party delegation comprises First Deputy Chairman of Parliament Giorgi Volski, Deputy Chairman of Parliament Irakli Chikovani, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee Nikoloz Samkharadze, Davit Songhulashvili, Chairman of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee, Chairwoman of the Agrarian Affairs Committee Nino Tsilosani, and Viktor Sanikidze, the First Deputy Chairman of the Sports Committee.
The official visit of the Georgian Dream delegation to the People’s Republic of China is set to conclude on January 20th.
