Georgian travellers taking Chinese Covid jab allowed to receive Pfizer

Georgian citizens who wish to travel and had received Chinese Sinovac or Sinopharm vaccines, which have not been recognised by a number of foreign states, have been officially allowed to take the German-US Pfizer coronavirus jab to enter various EU countries or the US. 

The individuals are able to receive the Pfizer shot after 28 days at least from their second dose of the chinese vaccines. 

The Georgian Health Ministry explains that it is not a booster dose, ‘it is a replacement of a vaccine’ to allow Georgian citizens to enter a number of countries without problems. 

Georgia began the coronavirus vaccination process back in March 2021 with AstraZeneca vaccine. 

However, Chinese vaccines have been more popular in the country than the British one. 

Pfizer, Sinivac, Sinopharm and AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccines are available in Georgia as of now.
