Georgian volunteer killed in Ukraine by Russian troops repatriated

Archil Devrisashvili, a Georgian volunteer, a veteran of the Russia-Georgia 2008 war, who was killed by Russian troops in Ukraine last week, was on Thursday repatriated. 

More than 45 Georgian volunteers have been killed in Ukraine since the outbreak of hostilities in February 2022. 

The first death of a Georgian volunteer was reported in March 2022.
