Georgians over 50 to receive 100 Gel incentive if get Covid booster shot

Georgians over 50 will receive 100 Gel incentive from the government if they get the coronavirus booster shot as cases of Omicron are surging sharply. 

The programme will be active  until the end of February. 

The government has also prolonged a programme which gives 200 Gel to the individuals over 50 if they receive any vaccine available in the county against coronavirus. 

Pfizer, Sinopharm and Sinovac are the vaccines present in Georgia. 

Georgia has reported 15,762 new cases of coronavirus, 5,160 recoveries and 42 deaths in the past 24 hours. 

87,609 remain infected with coronavirus in Georgia as of now.

1,210,361 individuals have been fully vaccinated in the country since March 2021.
