German ambassador states everyone free in expressing views as BILD article says he is biased

German Ambassador to Georgia Hubert Knirsch says that everyone is free in expressing their views as the recent article by German media outlet BILD has accused the diplomat of being biased for the ruling Georgian Dream party, noting that the ambassador’s wife is currently working in the Georgian university which was  built by the Georgian Dream founder, ‘oligarch Bidzina Ivanishvili who has positive sentiments to Russia.’ 

The article says that Knirsch has been accused several times by Georgian opposition politicians and NGOs of making pro-governmental; statements. 

Knirsch says that the article will not affect his work in Georgia, as well as his ‘good cooperation with NGOs.’ 

He also stated that he is proud of his wife’s work at Kutaisi International University.
