German FM makes surprise visit to Kyiv

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock made a surprise visit to Kyiv on Monday 

The DPA agency reported the official arrived in Ukraine from Poland by train. “Ukraine bravely and firmly defends the freedom of all of us,” she said, claiming “Ukraine can still count on German help”. 

It is Baerbock’s fourth visit to Ukraine after Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022. The latest visit has not been announced reportedly due to security purposes.
